Terms of Service for the “BiteLang” Language Learning Service / Application

This is a translation of the binding Polish version.
Effective date: January 1, 2026

1. General provisions

  1. These Terms of Service define the rules for using the BiteLang service and application (hereinafter: the “Service”), operated by Aslip Janusz Parfieniuk, VAT ID PL 543-1986-770 (hereinafter: the “Owner”).
  2. These Terms are addressed to Users using the Service under Polish law.
  3. Before using the Service, the User is required to read these Terms.
  4. Acceptance of the Terms constitutes a contract for the provision of electronic services.

2. Definitions

  • User – a natural person using the Service who has an Account.
  • Main Account – an account created by a person aged 18 or older, authorized to purchase Services.
  • Sub-account – an account created and managed by the Main Account User, in particular for a child.
  • Guardian – the Main Account User responsible for the actions of Sub-accounts.
  • Subscription – a paid, monthly renewable access to Services, billed in advance.
  • Standard lessons – educational materials available without limits for paid Accounts.
  • Premium lessons – materials subject to daily, weekly, or monthly limits.
  • BiteLang Platform – the system available at https://bitelang.com.

3. Terms of use

  1. Creating an Account is required for full use of the Service.
  2. A Main Account may only be created by a person aged 18 or older.
  3. Sub-accounts may only be created by a Main Account — up to 3 sub-accounts per Main Account.
  4. The Guardian bears full legal responsibility for the actions of Sub-accounts.
  5. Accounts may be free or paid. Only the Main Account can make purchases.
  6. The User agrees to:
    • not share the Account with others,
    • not use Sub-accounts to bypass payments or limits,
    • maintain one Account per person.
  7. The Account may be used on multiple devices, but not simultaneously.
  8. The User is responsible for meeting minimum technical requirements and having internet access.
  9. Some features may require permission to access the microphone or other device resources.
  10. In case of violations of these Terms, the Owner may limit account functionality or terminate the agreement.

4. Paid services and subscriptions

  1. Pricing information is presented before purchase on https://bitelang.com or in the application.
  2. The Subscription renews automatically for the next monthly billing period unless canceled before renewal.
  3. Access to Services remains active until the end of the paid period.
  4. Paid Accounts and Accounts with active access to promotional (free) courses receive:
    • full access to Standard lessons,
    • access to Premium lessons within the limits specified in the offer.
  5. Limits for Premium lessons are presented before purchase or plan change and may vary by offer.
  6. Some Services may be offered as fixed-time purchases (e.g., 6 months), with an option to switch to a subscription.
  7. Detailed rules for withdrawal and refunds are described in the Refund and Withdrawal Policy.
  8. The Owner may offer selected courses or Services free of charge (0 PLN) as part of promotions. In such cases, the User receives access to Premium lessons according to the specific course terms, even without paid account status.

5. Content and intellectual property

  1. All Service content is owned by the Owner or partners and is legally protected.
  2. Copying, sharing, or recording content outside the Service is prohibited.
  3. Using Service content or data to train AI systems without written consent of the Owner is prohibited.
  4. Any biometric identification of individuals appearing in Service materials is prohibited.

6. Artificial intelligence (AI) features

  1. The Service uses AI features including content generation, pronunciation evaluation, and language conversations.
  2. AI features are available on demand and may be limited depending on the plan.
  3. AI-generated content:
    • may contain errors or inaccuracies,
    • does not constitute professional advice,
    • does not reflect the views of the Owner.
  4. Users must not input unlawful, offensive, or rights-violating content when using AI features.
  5. The Owner is not responsible for decisions made based on AI content, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Liability

  1. Learning outcomes depend on the User and are not guaranteed.
  2. The Owner’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the User over the last 3 months, unless otherwise required by law.
  3. The Owner is not responsible for:
    • internet or device interruptions,
    • use contrary to the Terms,
    • content provided by Users.

8. Availability and outages (SLA)

  1. The Owner aims to ensure Service availability of at least 98% annually.
  2. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
  3. If Service downtime exceeds 8 hours at once or 8 hours total in a month, the User may receive compensation in the form of subscription extension upon complaint.
  4. This does not limit consumer rights under applicable law.

9. Complaints

  1. Complaints can be submitted via email: [email protected].
  2. Complaints are processed within 14 days.

10. Termination and data

  1. The User may delete their Account at any time.
  2. Learning history may be stored for at least 2 years after the last login.
  3. Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available at https://bitelang.com.

11. Final provisions

  1. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
  2. Polish law applies to matters not regulated herein.
  3. Any disputes will be resolved by the competent court in Poland.
